Over time your seat bones will get used to the saddle pressure and the related pain will diminish. At the beginning of the cycling season or with a new saddle you will experience some seat bone pain. That is normal. Getting used to a new saddle will take about five to six rides. Allow about two days rest between rides to give the somewhat irritated peristeum ("bone skin"), muscle and tendon attachments a break. SQlab has develped SQ-Shore, a measuring unit that reflects the degree stiffness of the combination of saddle surface material and padding.
As a rule, an unfamiliar and new saddle is unconfotable during the first test ride.
